About US
Rooted in Realness. Crafted with Love.
At IndiYatta Essentials, our story is woven from friendship, resilience, and a deep commitment to self-care — long before it became a hashtag.
Our Commitment to Quality and Care
We were tired of getting attached to big-brand scents—like “Mango Pineapple” or “Juniper Breeze” Something-Or-Other”—just for them to discontinue off the shelves, never to be seen again. Not to mention they were packed with alcohol and only lasted 15 minutes.
So, finally introducing IndiYattaEssentials.com—a place where you can find products that actually take care of you. From skin to hair, lips to teeth, everything we make is designed to nourish, elevate, and make you feel like the goddess, king that you are. No gimmicks. No alcohol bombs. Just real ingredients, blended with love, desirability , and intention.
Please be kind to yourselves and others and take care of your inside! If you’re looking for feel-good products made by real ones who get it—you’ve found your people that will help you take care ..
IndiYatta Essentials was created by Kimyatta Davis, a woman who, through life’s toughest days, never lost her natural ability to look good, and smell even better! This whole brand and website was inspired by that unapologetic commitment to self-care—long before “self-care” became a hashtag.
But it’s not just me. My best friend and soul sister, India Faison, is the other half of the magic behind the name and vision. She’s been my inspiration, hype woman, and reminder that another woman shining doesn’t dim your light. We’ve had disagreements (because sisters do), but we always remained respectful with love, grace, and loyalty in the front and the back!
We met in the late ’90s working a demanding job in the Bronx with some of the realest, roughest, and most unforgettable humans New York’s got to offer. The work was intense, the energy was wild—and we clung to joy however we could find it. That meant seafood dinners, smell-goods, reggae music, and spoiling ourselves every other payday Friday like it was a ritual.
Long before Sephora knew our names, we were scientists in the ghetto —mixing oils, butters, and lotions trying to create the perfect scent of fresh laundry or fresh fruit. India would whip up these blends that made you want to hug or bite her (in a totally non-weird way). She had this talent for creating smells that didn’t punch you in the face but wrapped you in warmth. I was obsessed.
